Commitment to Quality Health Care

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) provides standards for General Practice as a template for quality care and risk management. Like many General Practice surgeries, Ashfield Medhealth Centre has chosen to be assessed by Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) against the standards set out by the RACGP to gain formal accreditation. 

AGPAL is an independent, not-for-profit body that aims to improve the quality of health care provided to all Australians. Ashfield Medhealth Surgery was first accredited with AGPAL in 2008 and has successfully passed each audit since then.



Achieving independent accreditation against the RACGP Standards shows patients that our practice is serious about providing high quality, safe and effective care to standards of excellence determined by the general practice profession
